CURACAO, DISCOVER THE CARIBBEAN
Curacao is one of the five islands of the Netherlands Antilles. The Central Government of the Netherlands Antilles is located in Curacao. I took these photo's of Curacao so you can have a view of how my island looks and feels like :-) So enjoy these photo's and discover the Dutch Caribbean :-)
If you want to see more of the Dutch Caribbean go to my friend's website at:

Groot Knip Beach
Groot Knip Beach is situated on the west coast of the island. This beach is one of the most beautiful natural beaches of Curacao. The most beautiful beaches of Curacao are located on this side of the island. Next to Groot Knip Beach, there is Klein Knip Beach

Klein Knip Beach
After a barbeque I took this photo at Klein Knip Beach at sunset. Curacao has some very romantic places like this beach :-) |

|
Jan Thiel Beach
Jan Thiel Beach has been renovated. Now the beach has an Arabian look which makes this beach very unique and different compared to the other beaches on the island |
Jan Thiel Beach
A view of the other side of Jan Thiel Beach. The beach bar is on the far right side of this photo |

Seaquarium
Seaquarium is a tourist attraction where lots of Caribbean fish and sharks can be seen. Seaquarium is one of the very few marine life attractions in the Caribbean if not the only one in the Caribbean. This also makes this attraction unique in the Caribbean |
Seaquarium
If you have a diving license you can scuba dive at Seaquarium and feed the sharks. The sharks are separated from the divers by transparent fiber glass with holes to feed fish to the sharks |
|
|
Seaquarium
The sharks at Seaquarium are not kept in an aquarium, instead they live in open water which is separated by the sea with fences so they cannot escape. The sharks have enough space to swim freely in this open water |
Seaquarium
A beautiful and colorful tropical fish :-) |
|
|
Seaquarium
At Seaquarium they also have a seal that can perform tricks on command such as seen on the photo. On the photo the seal is putting his flippers on his head and swims in circles. Very funny to see :-) The seal is next to the sharks and is separated by a fence |
Kontiki Beach
This past summer I regularly went swimming at Kontiki Beach, which is a new beach next to the Seaquarium Beach. On this photo you can seen where the Seaquarium Beach ends and Kontiki Beach begins. That's at the bar you can see on the photo. Every Sunday I went to this bar (the Wet and Wild Bar) which is the place to be on Sunday :-) |

Port Marie Beach
Port Marie is one of the beaches located on the west coast of Curacao. What makes this beach beautiful is the very clear and clean water of this beach |
Port Marie Beach
Another view of the beach. Port Marie is a nice beach and, like the other beaches, you can also eat at the beach or sit at the bar having a tropical cocktail :-) |
|
|
Port Marie Beach
Another advantage of Port Marie is that the water is very shallow. Aircraft also fly over this beach when they are approaching the airport, the ideal place for me :-) |
Kontiki Beach
You can see the Princess Beach Resort from Kontiki. There's also a nice view of the sea at this beach where you can see most cruiseships and cargo vessels come in. In the far end of this photo you can see the Juliana Bridge which connects Punda with Otrobanda :-) |
