Out Of Nowhere
When I went to Curacao in the summer of 1996, I went to a training session of the rock band Out Of Nowhere formed by my sister's husband and his colleagues. When I came the first time, they asked me to sing the song "Sweet Child of Mine" from Guns 'n Roses. They asked me because I told them Guns 'n Roses was my favorite rock band. After the song they were somewhat amazed by me. I amazed myself, but that was the first time I sang. After this day, they asked me a view more times to sing for them as they didn't have a lead singer that could sing all the songs they wanted to play. On this photo I was singing "Don't Cry" from Guns 'n Roses. This was the first time I was singing in front of a small audience, because this was a birthday party. On the photo you can see Lars and me

Out Of Nowhere....
This was at Maurice's birthday party in januari 1997. He is my sister's husband. Again I was singing a song from Guns 'n Roses. Next to me is Andre and behind the drums you can see Mike who also played the drums every once in a while. Maurice is the "official" drummer of the band. Andre is a Guns 'n Roses fan as well. Like me, he knows all their songs and can play them very good with his guitar. That made playing the songs easier. It's very important that every band member knows all the songs they play very well and that all band members know exactly what each band member can do or cannot do. If this is not the case, the communication and co-ordination will be poor between the members. That's why I could work with Andre, because he knows everything of Guns 'n Roses like I do. We could "follow and correct" each other very well. Playing the songs this way was more fun. Unfortunately he left the band this year. Most of the original band members left because of personal reasons

Out of Nowhere....
Singing in a band is not always easy, although I had fun :-)

My favorite dog....
This is Spanky, my favorite dog. He was the smallest dog we had but all our dogs were afraid of him. He was the boss of all our dogs. When you told him that he farted, he knew exactly what you meant and walked away with his tail between his legs. I gave him different names. In Chinese his name is Dojo das woha. In Mandarin his name is Dojo. In German he is called Dojo das Spanken or Das Spanken. But we always called him Spanky. Like a human, he also had his moods, sometimes he was happy while other times he was in a bad mood. Unfortunately he died a few years ago :-(

Dalmations.... :-)
These are our dalmations :-) In front is Kira, in the middle is Lucky and in the back is Bella. They are nice dogs who allways run after each other in the garden. When you call one of them they all look up and start running to you :-)

One of my favorite cars
This is one of my favorite cars, the Peugeot 607. I just like the car's design, but the price hmmmm......don't have the money

My favorite car....
This is a nice car. If I live in Europe I would buy a European car. But if I would live in Curacao I would probably buy an American car, because there are not much European cars in Curacao which makes obtaining parts for the those cars difficult or you have to wait a long time before you receive the parts. These two photo's were taken at the autoshow at the RAI Amsterdam
